How to Attach and Install Windows Server 2016 ISO on OVH Dedicated Servers

✅ 1. Log in to the OVH Control Panel

• Go to https://www.ovhcloud.com

• Sign in with your credentials.

✅ 2. Select Your Server

• Navigate to "Bare Metal Cloud" or "Dedicated Servers".

• Click on the server where you want to install Windows.

✅ 3. Access the IPMI/KVM Console

• Find the “IPMI”, “iKVM”, or “Remote Access” tab.

• Click “Launch KVM Console”.

  • This may download a .jnlp file (Java Web Start) or launch a browser-based console.

  • Ensure Java is installed if using the .jnlp method.

✅ 4. Mount the Windows Server 2016 ISO

• In the KVM Console, go to “Virtual Media” or “Media” > “Virtual Storage”.

• Choose “CD/DVD Media”, then click “Open Image”.

• Select your Windows Server 2016 ISO from your local machine.

  • If you don’t have the ISO, you can download it from Microsoft Evaluation Center or use your licensed source.

✅ 5. Boot from the ISO

• Reboot the server from the KVM console.

• Enter the BIOS/boot menu (usually by pressing F11, F12, DEL, or ESC during boot).

• Select Virtual CD/DVD as the boot device.

✅ 6. Install Windows Server 2016

• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
